Applications for our graduate scheme open on the 1st September.  The deadline for surveying graduate applications is 1 December 2019.

When is the latest I can apply for a planning position?

Applications for our graduate scheme open on the 1st September.  The deadline for planning graduate applications is 17 November 2019.

Where will I be located?

Most of our graduate positions are based in London however opportunities do arise in our national offices. Please ensure you select the right graduate vacancy as the location will be clearly stated.

You’ll be based at your main office during most of your training period, although you will also be travelling around the country to see clients and their properties.

When will I start work?

Successful applicants will join us around mid-September. Exact dates will be confirmed with individuals as part of the joining process.

Are any work placements available?

Gerald Eve may offer full-time, paid placement year opportunities for students who are studying an RICS or RTPI accredited degree. You will be based in one team for the full year, gaining invaluable experience and a chance to work closely with the Partners of the Firm. What’s more, all experience gained will contribute towards your APC submission if you choose to continue after university.

We advertise our placement year opportunities on our careers site each year from mid-December through to the end of January.  Assessment days are usually held in either February or March.

Do I have to have a property-related degree to join as a graduate trainee?

No, we accept applications from candidates without an RICS or RTPI accredited degree, but who are interested in becoming a qualified surveyor or planner. You will need to specify that you hold a non-cognate degree as part of the application process.

Further details of courses can be found on the RICS website (www.rics.org.uk ) or RTPI website (www.rtpi.org.uk).

How long does the application process take?

Depending on how soon you apply, the application process can feel like a long time.  Our only application process prior to coming in for an assessment day is the online application form so it’s important you take your time in completing this. We will review all applications together so there is no advantage or disadvantage in applying sooner or later in the process, as long as you get your application in before the deadline.

We will respond to all planning applicants late November / early December, with an assessment day scheduled for the 16th December 2019.  We will endeavour to make all offers in November.

We will respond to all surveying applicants throughout December / early January, with various assessment days scheduled.  We will endeavour to make all offers by the end of January 2020.

How can I find out more?

Please email Lulu Farmbrough, HR Officer or Vanessa Briggs, HR Manager if you have any questions.

Will I receive feedback on my application?

We will offer to provide feedback to everyone who attends an assessment centre.

We receive a large quantity of applications for our graduate scheme, so unfortunately we are unable to provide feedback to applicants that are not invited to an assessment centre.
